Rod are you online? If so I hope you and your family are safe. Also would love to hear your input on this board, on conditions, and needs. Chloe/Lois

Debbie, I wonder why Rod Allen is not online reporting to us, he always been there to answer so many questions, and to give good info.

Chloe, I know. He's been so good about it. Either he has no electricity, or he's moved somewhere else. I hope he and his family are okay. That bus accident was not to far from him from what I gather. That makes me nervous...... Debbie

Chloe and friends, We are all fine, and our creek spared us from any major flooding....a miracle!! It has been very hectic in and around Cayo, and things are beginning to normalize for us. The coastal areas, and of course the Cayes are the ones that need the focus and help. I'm sorry for not posting, but I have been very busy with my business and our local Rotary Club. It's good to be back and I hope to contrbute more consistantly. Rod, Rey, Cynthia, Karen, Mili

Good to see you Rod, we are glad you were just busy, and not suffering. We regulars on the board worry about our buddies, we are still trying to find info on Sandshaker,(Tammy Martinez) still nothing.

Rod, Heaving a sigh of relief that your children are okay and your home intact...... what is the current news on all those little children on that bus?... Nice to know you're busy helping with some local help agencies. Hang in there. We respect all the help you give. Debbie

Debbie, I have heard conflicting reports on the accident. All I would dare say is that there were some deaths of a few children. Until I here something credible I can't be sure of the total amount of vitims. Love FM reported the incident, but I missed the annoucement. There may be something on the LoveFM.com website. In the meantime I will dig around and fill you in later. Rod

The report on Channel 5 was that it was a regular Venus bus. Not a bus full of kids. Three people were killed -- an 80-year-old woman, an infant and someone else. Quite a few, 30 or so, were taken to the hospital and I believe about six had fairly serious injuries. I think I saw or heard somewhere that the driver had been arrested, though I don't recall the exact charge. --Lan Sluder Belize First http://www.turq.com/belizefirst/

Thanks Lan! That's a MUCH better report than the horror stories that I heard. I had heard it was a school bus and 30 children were missing. Thank God for this being a gross exaggeration. Debbie
