Hey guys, let's not get wrapped up in technicalities here - it's the strays that are the issue here, and how we can help them. That's the only thing that's important, so let's get back on track and get those $15 cover charges for a Belikin sesh up and running!!! Happy drinking!
When I was there in December, I saw a lovely stray dog a couple of times, but he had a perfectly circular wound in the centre of its forehead - looked like a bullet wound to me, but of course I am no expert. Can't get him out of my mind, though. Some of these strays would make such lovely pets, they seem so loving and friendly. I think all visitors should take in a pet carrier box - just in case they fall in love and want to adopt whilst they're there! Nothing like being prepared (you can tell I was a girl guide when I was a kid!)

I agree with Mazza....someone qualified, available 24hrs on the island is much preferrable to someone on the mainland who only visits ocassionally. And as to the pet carriers...what a great idea! Even if you don't take home a pet, you could leave it for the vet to use as temporary quarters after surgery until the shelter gets built. That seems to be a big problem for her...no where to keep the animals for observation after neutering/surgery. Pet crates would be a prefect solution!

Do you think I should warn the distributor of Belikins about my plans....he might need a larger warehouse!

SusanGG, glad you took a look at the Saga Society page! Let's hope we luck out and hear some good news on homes for this momacat and her kitties.
I wonder if San Pedro's Hon. Patty Arceo would consider declaring an "ADOPT A STRAY" Day on the island? Maybe some people will keep them for longer (ie. ever) if they see how much comfort and enjoyment looking after an animal can bring?
Keep these kind of ideas flowing - some could turn out to be really really good, and someone may just help us out! Let's see just what we can achieve even if we are far away from our little bit of paradise!
