Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about bugs, bugs, everywhere for my wife's peace of mind. Now - has anyone stayed at the Sun Diver Beach Hotel or can give us any opinions on the place? We really appreciate everyone's being so friendly and helpful. Thanks!

From my reply on the A/C newsgroup..
Hi there. We were at the Sundiver at the end of December. We loved it. The food is GREAT! The people very nice (who isn't on the island). Bring a book to add to their library and get a free rum punch. I'd recommend the Sundiver. I haven't been to Journey's end. But we certainly enjoyed the Sundiver.
If you do stay there be sure to say hi to Kenrick for us. He's the chef :-)
See our zing page if you want a few pics of the resort. (I'm not a good camera person, so we have more video than pics).

I have not stayed at the SunDiver, but am planning on getting married there in September. I hear it's a great property, very beautiful and peaceful, and the staff has been wonderful about helping me plan my wedding. I can't wait to get there!

We stayed near the Sun Diver in Feb., and in fact ended up buying a house just a stone's throw down the beach. We lunched at Sun Diver, and it was excellent. Such friendly people! I hope your wedding there is memorable... maybe we will be visiting our home in Sept, and if I see a wedding dress at Sun Diver, will give you a holler! [Linked Image]

Sundiver is a very relaxing resort. It is not highpowered as some resorts can be, but more friendly and warm. It as though you become a part of the family during your stay. How often does one mingle with the chef and the other staff? At Sundiver everyone mingles as they feel desire. There are any number of trips you can book through the resort - one highly recommended one was Lamonai. Since it is accessible only by water, you must rely on either water taxis or the ferry for transportation to and fro San Pedro. The hotel does have some transportation, but it isn't always available. The cuisine is excellent and the suites are lovely. Enjoy. I can't wait to return.

We're getting married on Sept. 2 (that's US Labor Day Weekend). If you're in the area, come and watch! It's going to be pretty small, just best friends and family. The more the merrier! I can't wait!
