My friend and I are planning our first trip to your beautiful area!!! We got an airfare, but we are looking for some tips on where to stay and what to do. We want to be at the beach, we enjoy hiking, hope to try scuba/snorkel, enjoy having a few cocktails in the evening and dancing. We are coming to town on 3/4, just booked the airfare today, havent even seen a map, and need some insider tips on where to stay and what to do. PLEASE help us with any tips and information that will make our "Girl Escape" a fun time!!! THANK YOU!!

Try the Holiday Hotel {House?] or Ruby's in town. Do you want to be a bit more secluded? Then Probably South of town. To me, North od the cut/town feels more like a "couples" thing.

If I was on a trip with my friends I'd stay in town, and if I wanted to loll on the beach, i could do it there or easily go to another resort.

take the time to read the "ambergris caye" part of this board. you can do searches on specific subjects such as food, snorkeling, lodging, etc. also note, most of us dont live there, we just like to visit! take bug spray just in case it rains. and ziplocks. it is the tropics. you can find maps from the home page. and just about anything else, for that matter.
