I am plannig a trip 08/05-08/13, anyone else planning at that time? I am looking into seven seas reasort most reasonable for a solo traveler. Descent price, some what out of the scene but ammenities are good, also. What is a ten minute walk down the beach, sounds good to me. Any other ideas?

Hi Jackie, we are planning our trip to AC, leaving on August 18 and returning on Sept 2. We will spend most of this time in San Pedro at the Paradise Villas, and the last 2-3 days on a side trip to Tikal (in Guatelmala). We stayed at Paradise Villas on our last visit and enjoyed the accomodations very much. The condos are close to town (about a 5 minute walk to most anywhere) and has a nice pool, but no restaurant on site. But this is no problem, as there are many restaurants close by in town. Have a great trip!

I am looking at approximately the same dates...haven't settled on lodging yet...so many choices and they all sound good! Have heard good and bad about August in AC, but I honestly don't think I can hold off much longer!! For a first timer, I've heard it is best to stay closer to SP, although the beaches look nicer on the N side. Decisions, Decisions!

If you're going in August, stay away from the northside as the mosquitoes can be unbearable. Stay as close to town as possible because they spray there... trust me, you'll be happy you did.

Seven Seas is the most reasonable that I found. It is a little out of town but it seems as though everything is easy to get to . Like I said before how bad can a 10 minute walk down a beach be. The airlines is what I am having a problem with, so expensive I started out at $1100. now I am down to $470. from cleveland.so I will more that likely book today, because if I play around to long I may lose it. Also email Bob at seven seas resort he is very helpful and emails you right back. Plus there are offering 30% off during that time it was the best I found without a single supplement.

Jackie, $470 from Cleveland sounds like a pretty good airfare. Don't let it get away. And don't miss going to AC, if you like diving, relaxing, casual dining, etc, it will be one of your best vacations ever.

Hey jackieo, where did you get your airfare through? I've checked several places on-line and it's over $1M for that time frame flying from Minneapolis!
