Okay, been trying for weeks to guage public and governmental attitudes concerning Medical pot, but I haven't found much. So, the questions are:
Does the government appear to be considering the idea?

If they are not, is pot available widely at reasonable prices.

Please, don't attack all at once. It's not much fun to be in pain constantly. Pot helps with pain relief. Thanx

what other sources have u looked at??? What kind of medical pain you're in makes a big difference, too...there are alternatives..yoga, Reiki, many, many things. Most terminally ill patience find comfort in marijuana/w cancer nothing else has been "proven"

By definition, this board is "an open forum", which is an legal term giving much latitude to the webmaster and all contributors to comment free of petty puritanical pissy putrescent posturing [sorry my alliterative evil twin just popped up:-]].The answer to your second question is not widely, but yes.

People in this area have been using marijuana and other plants as meds for thousands of years. Called emperical knowledge, passed down from generation to generation: arthritis, asthema, scorpian stings, nausea, loss of appetite and other ailments.

Govt attitude? It's illegal. How do individuals in govt feel about marijuana? Like everywhere else, some inbibe and some don't. Very few think personal use should be a crime. But no one wants the crime that goes along with dealing in any kind of contraband. If there's big money involved, guns can't be far behind.

US attitude has lots to do with our policy here. But take a look at Plan Columbia and see how the US $/military have wreaked havoc there. And talk the to missionares just shot down over Peru. It's a loosing battle the DEA is fighting. But the US is very serious about the drug certification thing and aid hinges on their perception of our efforts to cooperate with them.

When things change up there, they'll change down here.

Nobody asked, but my take on this is that if pot is legalized, it would reduce the crime rate. It is the ole supply and demand.

Never heard of someone getting busted for "pot driving" or divorced because they smoke too much pot.

wow laurie. i got blasted for stating these decriminalization issues some time back. zeke kept calling me his "favorite liberal". the US could make a bundle taxing it like liquor & cigarettes.

Veronica Bowers 35 and their 7 month old daughter, Charity, were killed by Peru's air force which shot down their plane thinking it was involved with drug traffic.
Husband Jim is from Muskegon, 10 miles away from us here, they had a funeral this week with over 1000 people in attendance.
