Caye Caulker actually looks better than San Pedro in many ways. Their newly rebuilt beach was not destroyed, in fact Mrs. Creasy from the Tree Tops on Caye Caulker (
http://www.treetopsbelize.com ) told me that the hurricane actually built up their beach by 9 feet. I just returned from both and was pleasantly suprised at how great Caye Caulker looked. I was there right after the hurricane and it was sickening to see the destruction... but is heartening to see how hard the islanders (both islands included) have worked getting their lives and businesses back together. On the east side of the island almost everything is functioning... restaurants & bars open. I know for a fact that Tom's is open, although I'm not sure about Ignacios.
