Hi ya'll,
It is 4:30 A.M. and I can't sleep, too excited! I have been up packing all night, about to get it finished. OK, yes, I shipped 15 boxes already, but these are the normal necessities. Oh yeah, and goodies! I have something for Orionhunter, Crazy Canuck's, the animal shelter, and Dallas Dave-- I have a little surprise for you too. (I understand your missing the Jack in the Box tacos-- I lived in Dallas for years, and miss them terribly-- My sister says if you call, they will dry ice a case, so I may have to try that soon. I do that with wings from Buffalo too!) I have a tiny corner or two left, anyone else have any requests?
I have a question for the seasoned travellers. I am bringing in a sump pump for a friend. We will have to declare that--it's hard to hide it. If I make the declaration, will they go through everything (all of my luggage)? I probably have several things they may question. Also, will we need cash to pay duty on the pump?
Debbie, thanks for your email. Can hardly wait to meet you!

Oh, I'm so glad you asked those questions, cuz I wanna know, too. I just have so many questions about this VAT and duty and.... Thing is, I wanna be honest with them (and I will be), but I just want to know what to expect. We are going to have so much luggage, I just know they will question us, and I won't lie.

OK, OK, so I am a bit O/C. I like to have everything planned, with no surprises. (hey! I'm workin' on it! First step: get to AC and chill)

Ibanole -- I can't wait to hear from you when you return! Have a GREAT time!

I'm bringing computer printer cartridges for a friend.... Should I have a problem with these at customs???? LOTS of "stuff" for the kids too. Hate to get slammed and not be prepared...

I am planing on bringing things for the animals at Saga. Dog Chews, Heartworm medicine etc. Do I have to declare these in customs and will they charge me for it? If so this would not be fair because these are a donation!!!! Expensive enough to buy that stuff. Any tips?

Well... I took a box of doggie chews down in a zip lock bag and told them they were treats for me. Ummm, they believed it and off I went... The doggie chews with a hint of mint are pretty good actually! lol
