I have always had an interest in visiting Belize. Do many solo travelers visit Belize? If so, are there better places than others to meet people?

Bret, there are many solo travelers traveling to Belize. I was one just a few weeks ago. You'll meet fellow solo travelers on this board and great people when get there. Don't hesitate - just Belize it!

When are planning on going? I am going solo 8-5 to 8-13.

I'm going solo on 6/14...should be fun.

I'm thinking about going in 2 weeks time...actually leaving on 6/14 as well. I found a great price on airfare out of San Fran. I've done some solo travel before and have stayed at hostels, ... having the opportunity to meet others. Are there places like this in Belize that would not require pre-booking?

Didn't go solo this time, but maybe next time. AC is better solo than not at all I'm sure, and you'll meet TONS of cool people - I only met one in 10 days I didn't like and became friends with most. You won't be a stranger for long. Have fun!

Island Girl and Gene...I am arriving in Belize City on June 13 and am planning to spend a couple of days on the mainland before going out to AC on...probably...the 16th. Sounds like you might be there Gene? What are your plans?
