This is a forum for Belize topics, so lets steer away from posts about the 'world situation"

Thanks...

I am going to delete a lot of this stuff pretty soon, it really belongs on another board or something. I'm getting a few complaints...

Marty, thank you for letting us vent on your board. I certainly understand that you need to remove these posts.

So, on to the subject of AC!

I will be returning to AC from December 8 through 15. Anyone planning on being there then? Would love to hook up with anyone from this board. I'm planning to go the places I missed last time around (May) and repeat my favorites.

Will rent a cart for at least a few days. Any one want a ride?

Thanks for the notice Marty. [Linked Image]

It is time. What I have also noticed is that it looks like there is going to be a lull before people do start talking about Belize as much as they did before. [Linked Image]

I certainly understand your concerns, but I hope you will rethink your position. We all love Belize, but Belize is not beyond the reach of the present world problems. At the least, the Chat forum should be allowed to discuss such world issues.

Marty,
I realize that this is a place to post about Belize but I disagree with you about deleting about world issues. I really believe that some people are venting their thoughts and fears of recent events and this helps them deal with the issues at hand. Please do not delete...give us this opportunity to air our thoughts and fears.
May God have mercy on us all and GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THEIR ALLIES.

These events will affect more than Americans and we, for the first time ever, are bonding together to wipe out all prejudice and issues with each other.

This is only one persons opinion but that is how I feel.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to have my say.

MARIA ELENA

o-tay, i won't erase stuff, and world issues are fine, but if we can keep them to a couple threads so it doesn't look like a war chat room it looks better to me.

I'm a born and raised pacifist so i have trouble with all this war talk. and to have 12 of 13 threads at the top be war talk is depressing to me.

thanks.

Marty,
Thanks for not erasing these posts, as we can not erase what has happened. All we can do is move on, which is what we will do on this board as well. The posts have already started to get back to normal, it just takes time. Also, thank you for your warning about pulling the posts! I'm sure everyone appreciates the honesty!!

Peace, Susan

Marty,
I also want to say thanks for not erasing the posts. When I needed comfort and help sorting out my feelings, this is where I came. That says a HUGE amount for you, the wonderful people on this board, the people of Belize. This board has been a value to me on many levels. It's top notch. Doesn't get any better than this. Our "chat" is sometimes much more than chat to many. I have a tremendous amount of respect for all on this board, and it is a global problem. The decrease in travel and the effect on resorts will affect Belize as well. Belize is part of the global community.
Debbie
