Izzy got so big that his storm area was vulnerable to weather forces. He lost cyclonic flow over Yucatan which allowed an upper level Low to set upon his long flank when he set course back in the Gulf of Mexico. It moved over him and shut off his cyclonic engine. I don't need to tell you that many Gulf Coast residents in Louisiana & Mississippi got a big break here.

Good for you in SP we are getting flooded by Izzy, but no bad winds like Mitch when I as in SP and he was coming in. Good for both of us. KBG
