Have flown TACA plenty the past ten yrs or so..Well matained eqpt and the best service and food.Have had only one bag screwup so in the big scheme of things not too bad.Try for a direct flight to BZ City. I have flown AA and Cont. but TACA is is the pick of the bunch so far.

I am sorry Lan, But your Avatar(?) looks like a cross between Emory King and Hannibal Lecter. sorry again, but jeeesh? Spend some rusty money and get a real picture? I know I will owe you some free beers for that one but thats OK. Things are slow anyways. Like SSSSLLLLOOOWWWWW. Anything to stir up some business. Jim

Deano,
Unfortunately a direct flight is not possible. We are flying from LA to Belize with one stop in El Salvador. Taca doesn't fly direct from LA.
Thanks all

TACA, TACA, TACA, Flights are genrally on time and food and drinks are free, flights are not usually full and yes seats are close but usually you can move around in mostly empty cabin and get to SP before American and others. Try them from Miami. Even connect on hop from San Pedro Sula is good. KBG

TACA rules.
speaking of lost luggage, american lost mine for a few days both coming and going last time. luckily on the return they lost the one with my new 3-4 foot machete. cause in LAX they were xraying everything, pulling everything out, and that MAY have looked odd.
they confiscated my marie sharps and belikins from my carry on, but when they opened a certain suitcase with really rank stinkin conch shells, they all started gagging and i snuck the beer and hot sauce back into an already checked bag when they were all distracted holding their noses trying not to puke while searching the stink bag.

Jim,
Always pleased to be compared with Emory, less so with Hannibal.

Good choice Lan.
Taca has been most interesting each time we flew with them and enjoyable. Taca put us up in El Salvador over night once, under scary conditions, but we had alot of fun at the hotel piano bar.

My experience with Taca has been that they are notoriously late & delayed but once they are up & flying, they are great. But you MUST be at checking AT LEAST 2 hrs prior to departure. They WILL sell your seat to someone else if not. Also pays to call and reconfirm your flights several times before you leave. They often cancel flights out of the blue and will not notify you. BUY travel insurance!

Barb,
Funny you should mention canceling flights, we already had them do that. They canceled our return flight without telling us. The only way I found out about is because I bought two tickets, one from Taca and the only as an award on AA but flying on Taca and it was AA that notified me of the change. Taca never called.
What usually causes them to cancel??
I am told that my departure flight from LAX is wide open, hopefully they will not decide to cancel it. We leave Oct 25.
