Hi all!

Got engaged while in Belize last year. We LOVED it so much that we are getting married there in November!!!

Our guests are having some heartburn over airfares. Any suggestions on how to get something reasonable?

Also, is there a water taxi that goes from Belize City to San Pedro (as an alternative to flying)??

Thanks!

The last water taxi from Belize City departs for SP at 3pm. It'll take about 1.5 hrs. Just remember, you must be in Belize 3 days and can then submit your marriage application to the registry on the 4th business day. So plan arrival to coincide with the day you want the ceremony. Figure it'll take another business day to get the paperwork returned. Govt Of Belize charges US100.00 for the license.

Do you know the name of the water taxi service and where it leaves from? I never used it so I don't know / can't remember.

As for the wedding, we are having the whole registration "stuff" handled by the hotel. We'll be there 5 days before the wedding and for several more days after!!! I can't wait!!

I heard that Thunderbolt now has a 5pm ferry from Belize City to San Pedro. Good luck!

What date and where is the ceremony???

We were engaged right on the beach outside Tradewinds Paradise Villas. . . It was beautiful and was a beautiful, perfect sunny day. There were not alot of people around. So, we are getting married near that same spot on the beach outside the Sunbreeze Hotel. We'll be having a dinner there following the ceremony. It'll be a Thursday (11/14) since we didn't want to do it on a weekend with a million people around. Even with lots of people, though, it'll still be great.

We're having ours at BC's (right next door) on the 27th, then hopefully dinner at the Jerk Pit. It'll be very casual, but beautiful!!
