I would like to know,if anyone could tell me what days the cruise ships come into Belize City, and if there is an art gallery on the docks. Would like name and e mail if possible. Thanks for any help.

I assume the Belize Tourist Board would have a schedule of when ships come into Belize City. Even though there has been an increase, some days there are none, some days there is one, occasionally two at one time. I don't know of an art gallery right there, but the Image Factory on North Front Street is an excellent gallery.

We were in Belize the week that they had the official ceremonies opening the building.
So the day before we were leaving I wanted to go the place and look around. Not one word was ever mentioned that it is only open on days that a cruise is scheduled in and the rest of the time closed. The building and area looked nice but some guys were busy building a gate and you couldn't even get on the grounds to look around. Maybe some day they invision 7 days a week operation but till then who knows.

They call that gate "Checkpoint Charlie) now. There is one nice giftshop that has a little bit of art, called Papagallo (I think)
Also, check out The Bliss Institute, or if you come to Caye Caulker - Caribbean COlors Art Gallery (shameless plug)
