Will be spending two months on AC. What is the best way to send messages back home(USA). e-mail(I know there's a place on the island) or telephone. What about costs? How long and how much to send mail?

E-mail: check out Island Internet, south of town a little under a mile, across from George's restaurant. Ask about their membership for lower prices. Used to be no more than $5BZ for 15 minutes internet time. The owner is sometimes on this board - he would have updated info.

Phone: Sam's Club AT&T phone card allows you to call back to the US through AT&T Direct for 34.7 cents per minute. The card shows 3.47 cents per minute for use in the US. You can recharge the card over the telephone from Belize. When in Belize, dial 115 and ask the operator for AT&T Direct and then follow the numbers on the card. Folks in the US can call you on the same card for 24.29 cents per minute.

Happy months...

Wow - 2 months!! I'm so jealous
If you do go via the net, get yourself a yahoo email account to send from. I found it was hard to get on to some of the other servers.
Have fun
