One more question (or two): Does anyone know long would it take to take a taxi from Caves Branch to Municipal Airport?

Also, is it less expensize to arrange for a taxi than to have Ian's shuttle/taxi service? His seems expensive. Can you arrange a taxi to pick you up FROM Caves Branch and go back to Municipal?

I'm not sure what you'd pay for a taxi -- my guess would be US$75-86, but it would be negotiable in any case.

If you have a few people going to Ian's the transport is great because you can split the cost. We had a good trip back, did some side stops and got to see a few things. We also added the Zoo into our return for an extra 20 bucks - instead of making it an excursion.

we are having a large group landing at muni, then going to caves branch for several days, then flying out of goldson.

so we will have a large van pick up up at muni, and take us to caves branch. then when its time to go the van will take us to goldson.

we will have 10 people, and its $150 each trip. danged if i asked em if it was $US, i assumed it is. the folks at caves branch arranged it for us. we were wanting exact time pickup and delivery, so we didn't want the bus. we have used it before and it was fine though. you get dropped off at the corner and walk the drive for caves branch. a pleasant 10 minute walk....

i'll double check that it was US$$ on this price...

The cab ride would be somewhere between an hour and an hour and a half.

Thanks, everyone. Ya'll are the best! I just made our reservations. Getting ready for the Black Hole and some Cave Tubing. Yipeeeeee! 3 weeks from today and counting every minute....

we thought we were going cave tubing when we saw the black hole drop. i saw my wifes face and thought divorce was imminent. would have bet the farm she wouldn't go over it, but away she went!

along with 4 teenagers and I. and a couple travel writers, one of whom was terrified of heights and didn't tell us til she was down.

great fun....
