Our family of 5 will be in Belize the last week of July. We are spending 4 days at VH. Will it be too hot and rainy to go into the interior? Which one of these resorts would be more enjoyable for children? Ages 1,8,and 15. We have also been told babysitting would be easy to arrange on the Caye any tips or concerns? Thanks

I took my 7yrs old son to Chaa Creek and he REALLY enjoyed it. I think your family would enjoy Chaa Creek too. To me it's a really pleasant area for kids. Blancaneaux Lodge to me is more for adults.

Hi, trina I would suggest the Orange Walk area. There is a lot to offer there. In particular there is the Lamanai Outpost lodge that offers exactly what you're looking for. You can contact me if you need more info at [email protected]

My kids (now 18 and 13) have been to both places at least a couple of times. They've enjoyed both, and I think either would be okay for kids.

Actually my kids probably enjoyed Chan Chich and Ek'Tun more than either Chaa Creek or Blancaneaux, mainly because both have great swimming pools. Chaa Creek is on the Macal Rvier and Blancaneaux is on the Privaison creek, but as it happens the times my kids were there the swimming wasn't too good.
