Ginger in any form helps. (gingerale, ginger snaps, ginger beer, Ginger Rogers) Keep your head up and looking around at the horizon to keep oriented. A long time ago, I notice that the boat driver never (or usually never) gets sick. I think this is because he is always looking at the horizon and the waves and can therefore anticipate when the wave is gong to hit the boat, and he is busy and that takes his mind off of getting sick. I often invite people who are getting green around the gills to drive the boat (if they know how) or at least to help me drive. I think it works.

My advice...feed her a nice, big breakfast before you put out to sea. She'll feel a whole lot better when she blows chow, and the chum will summon untold numbers of sea life! AAARRRGGGHHH!

Original or less-drowsy Dramamine works very well.
The Jamaican remedy definitely does not work! Or
maybe I'm immune.

Oh gosh, good point, I forgot to mention that any Gravol or whatever is taken, should be the non-drowsy kind if possible.

right you are Seashell! Forgot to mention you have to take it 1/2 hour before you get on the boat, plane, etc.

Was a little nervous giving it to a diver (I don't dive and didn't want to be responsible for any deaths!). Suggested she check with the dive master about the interaction between the medicine and the oxygen - but she forgot and hurled the whole way to the Blue Hole!

Ditto on the ginger in any form and get in the water when the boat stops. It readjusts your equilibrium. Just don't swallow any water, or you will get nauseated....... wink
