My wife and Mother-in-law joined me last month in a trip to the Caye to look at property. We met the owner of Casa Picasso out front of his place and came back early that evening to get a bite. It was by far the best meal we had on the Caye. Great drinks....and his wife makes an excellent meal. I spoke with the owner about his music mixes (Modest Mouse was one of the bands). I know he is on this message board and I want to email him about swapping some music. Can anyone get me an email address to help contact him? My direct email address is ([email protected]).

he signs on as 'beachy', and i met him too. very nice guy, the place is done in very good taste. and the service there was SUPERIOR! not to mention the food. very good and different. and the desserts are fantastic, we shared gran marnier creme brulee & pinapple cobbler. laugh

we could not stay up for the music, but yes, he had a dj setting up. i love the geckoes climbing the screens making their little chirping noises. nice place. if only more folks got off the beaten path to find it. i wish him luck on his venture.

beachy, (hi, i came in with vicki & butch last week). nice lemon drop martini...

anyway, thought i'd throw out a suggestion. i dunno what kind of music you are swapping, but if you have a fast pc, here is what we do for (not live) entertaining: download MP3's. it is the future of music & will eventually make cd's obsolete.

you can download anything you want. you access hundreds of other's drives & search for what u want by title or artist. we chose to get an external hard drive & dedicate it to music. we must have 16,000 songs, and just USB it to our laptop, & make a playlist for that night. downloadable software can convert you current cd's to store into mp3 files too. if this is too complex sounding, maybe some pc person can help (butch loves that stuff!)

i got a cd player for my car that plays mp3's and radioshack had a dvd player that did for under $200. with the software, i got 8 hours of music on one cd!!! it is the only disc i need in my car!!

Sweetjane,
limewire, morpheus, my old dead pal napster, kazaa, until I found out they were spying on me, bearshare same thing, I know em all, I'm a serf of BTL, so its slow download times for me. Still, when you need a good fill for a mix...ya can't beat filesharing. PS, all you Do-gooders, I do buy the lionshare of my music. Amazon can deliver to San Pedro in 9-12 days most of the time. Its the best record store I have ever encountered virtual or otherwise.

hey chris, whatever vicki said, that creme brulee was pretty darn good. butch was digging the pinapple cobbler (me too!)

we use kazaa mostly & have had no probs. what did you encounter, i would be interested to know. and yeah, we use amazon.com all the time. your place was great, really. best of luck with it.

Its a provacy thing, one of Kazaa's cookies logs ALL of your surfing and then uses it to sell your IP address to targeted marketing firms. this, and it slows down your surfing/increases the number of pop up ads you get while surfing.
