here's a lil snake fresh kill that got turned into cascabel, maya medicine. me and Peter Singfields kids and my pa...
couple weeks ago in Xaibe Village up by Corozal.

[Linked Image]

not killed by me, just played with by me. a cane farmer brought it in. tho i swear by the cascabel.

article about peter (aka snakeman):
//AmbergrisCaye.com/pages/town/article39.html

once more, i swear by his coconut oil also, the best thing going for skin.... massage places where the customers want nothing else anymore...

http://turneffecoconut.com/

his camphorated coconut oil, combining the healing powers of the coconut oil with camphor, even wratchets up the healing power one more notch...

and that doesn't mention the shark oils, camphorated shark oils, and root. which is a story unto itself...

its the poisonist kinda rattlesnake you can find. 200 miles away they aren't poisonous enough and the medicine doesn't work....

here's a bit more about the trip. i'm dribbling it out here and there...

(what a great trip. lotsa family, lotsa friends, lotsa the kids' friends- skateboarding in the park, basketball til 3am, el gato, winnie estel, tons of incredible food, dinners for the gods at Elvis (a night to remember forever, a table so big with two extended families), El Divino (oh my goodness congrats to the crew at banana for the restaurant they have brought forth!), el Caliente (oh drool drool, i ran straight there when i hit the sand), were lucky enough to have two dinners during a couple wonderful days at Portofino, a delight i wish on everyone), Cocina Caramba (do NOT miss their fruit smooties. line em up boys and keep em coming) Fidos, where i have always liked the food, but this time its a cut above where it was in quality. really excellent flavors, a really excellent lunch at mata chica, on a quiet afternoon in an incredible resort.

about eleven wonderful breakfasts at Estels. not that i love it or anything. trip also featured ME fishing usually can''t stay outta the water, but i sucessfully STAYED IN THE BOAT for four hours (staring at the water the whole time - still not sure how i stayed in that boat. it was sunny and hot too) and CAUGHT fish. (or i should say armando rivero took me to the fishing spots, baited my hook, told mw where to cast the bait, and if i was able to get it anywhere near where he said, i caught fish. I CAUGHT fish they tell me. i'm not so sure that it wasn't armando catching the fish and me briefly holding the line to reel them in, but i'm not a fisherman. but gawd those fish were so damn good when they cooked em at the reef restaurant on middle street. where they prepared them INCREDIBLY DELICIOUSLY for a price so low that the situation required a large tip to compensate.

lotsa good diving, stayed at the beautiful Caribbean Villas for several days, where wil and susan got us through numerous scrapes. and then Ramons for a few days, i can live at that pool forever. elbert gave the kids some scuba lessons, they loved it, i wish i had started at age 9.

we also stayed several days with the incomparable George and Marie at the Sands, across from the basketball court. Incredible view from the top, and its something else to be so smack dab in the middle of town. minutes to anything. easy to stay up late late late and play basketball. and skate. and hang out.

my father came, my brother and his family of four, my kids each had about 5 friends each. made for a fun group. went to lamanai, xunantunich, stayed a few days at ian anderson's caves branch (incredible grounds, wonderful cabins, excellent food. love those caves, love the black hole drop. great tours. ian and his crew are fantastic hosts and guides), corozal, xaibe village, drove the highway to the guatemalan border thru benque, i love that area. caesars has quite the shop along the road these days. i think theya re at http://BelizeGifts.com also. stopped for a lunch at clarissa falls, a gorgous spot near san ignacio sorta.

had a plane fail to show one evening from belize city to san salvador, and got put up for the night at the princess hotel in belize city. man, huge pool, bowling alley, movie theatre, casino, man that place is the ritz!

also went to Mexico City (LOVED IT), Queretaro, Mexico (LOVED IT), san salvador (gorgeous)

gotta go, getting in trouble for not being with the family!!!

peace

yep, pa went thru those caves in the caves branch area like a champ. inner tubes, crawling sometimes, its quite a hike and tube experience in there....

he kicked butt, and vita, one of the caves branch guides, was awesome staying with him and keeping him comfortable.
