WOW!!! the msg board really gets funky...been browsing around since we planned our trip. All I can say is I have gotten good info about AC but there seems to be plenty of folks out there with too much time on their hands...petty stuff Hay, guess some people have to bitch about something ALL THE TIME. We are looking forward to our visit which begins on Aug 24th. Staying at Banana Beach and have read some wonderful posts about it. Does anyone know if hairdryers are provided (know this is a pretty petty ? but don't want to check luggage and every lb. counts!) I say keep up the good work guys!

Not petty at all...
That was one of the first questions, along with the availability of and iron, that I asked!
The answer is yes. They are the type that are hooked on the wall. Was very convienient.
And the housekeeping staff will lend you an iron if you really need it. They were terrific about doing my few loads of laundry also. Back in less than a day. Saves packing too many clothes.
You will love Banana Beach, have a wonderful time.

sherry - i too like to blow my hair dry but i gave up a long time ago from doing it in San Pedro, there is a constant breeze from the reef (salt air and sand) and mine just goes frizzy! frown good luck to you and yours! I hope someone can have smooth hair there - let me know your trick if it works! smile

LOL Sherry, they are right!! I am a hairstylist and have used EVERYTHING imaginable to fix my hair on AC.....nothing works!! Not even "professional products"!! Don't worry about your hair...no one else will. Bring hats, barrets, and scrungies...if your hair is short, bring some mousse and just scrunch it!! If you spend time fixing it..it will last about 15-30 minutes....then all you want is to get it away from your face!!! Don't waste the time...use it for more experiences on AC!!! It's worth it!!! C

Here is my "secret" hair routine. I wash my hair in the shower with the cheapest shampoo. Then I dry my hair using the cheapest towel available. Wha La... its party time!!!
