8:46 EST, and then the continuing events of the morning.

I was just thinking as I looked out my window, the day was very much like today. Blue skies, sunshine, and me - rushing to get dressed so I wouldn't be late for work.

And, I was sitting at my computer when my niece interrupted a conversation I was having with a friend, to tell me to go watch the television. That was plane # 1.
Bless them all

I was watching the morning news getting ready for the day as the first plane went, I can still feel the sick feeling. I think I will leave the TV off today, I do not want to live it again.

indygal. I have to agree with you. It hurts to bad to relive it all again. I was glued to the TV for several weeks after it happened two years ago. I didn't even sleep. I couldn't. My husband said, "Enough already!!" and unplugged it. Then he took me away for a fishing weekend with no TV. I saying my prayers today. and ditto..... God Bless them ALL.

I was teaching a seminar in OKC when it happened. At a break for coffee, I ran into virtually the whole office in the break room watching the TV. I saw the second plane go in. I was in shock, and a bit of rage when I realized it wasn't just a tragic accident. The shock is gone, the rage has cooled, but I will never forget or forgive. Blessings to all of our people in uniform, no matter who thinks they are not about the business of protecting all of us, including those who disagree.
To quote a quote "people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf".
My condolences to all who lost loved ones in this ongoing tragedy.

db: ditto to your first comment. It will be a very tough day for the families and friends of those who lost their lives.
