This is an authentic psychological test. (Or so the e-mail says)

It is a story about a girl…..While at the funeral of her mother, she met a man whom she did not know. She thought he was amazing, her dream guy, and she fell in love with him but never asked for his number and could not find him after the funeral. A few days later the girl killed her sister.

Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?
Give this some thought before I give you the answer.

Duh. This has been going around the internet for at least a year and a half. Some people put its first appearance in May 2002. Probably it is older.

If you paste a sentence or two of this in google, you'll get thousands of references.

The "answer" is "because the girl wanted to see the guy again" and if you respond that way it is supposed to show that you are psychopath. And this is supposed to be a "real" psychological test.

Of course it is not. More likely, what it shows is 1) some people are way behind the curve, and 2) some people will believe any urban myth.

I may be a bit late with my answer but here goes:

The murdering sister is a rabid Cubs fan. She has just seen her (and San Pedro's) beloved Cubbies completely collapse to an 8-3 defeat courtesy of an interfering fan, the Goat Curse and the Florida Marlins on the evening of Tuesday October 14th. She is mortified and furious beyond belief. Her soon to be dead sister, naively tries to comfort her by saying "Don't worry, Sis, it's just a game. I would probably have stuck my hand out to catch the ball as well if I had been in the first row."

The rest is history.

I am one of those folks who missed this it's first couple years around the net, and I was trying to figure it out before I scrolled down and saw the answer. The good news is, I am not a psychopath.......I AM A LID!!!
