Lest we forget that without those brave people in the armed forces, we would not enjoy the freedoms we do now. They have served, so that we might stay free. Thank God for them. God Bless my Dad. War is sometimes a necessary evil, sometimes a governments folly. No matter what your own beliefs are at this moment, take the time to recognize those who have done, and those who are currently doing, what they can for the country we love. Bless them all.

Bless them all, right or wrong, as they serve us all. Let's not make this thread a vehicle for a political statement.

I watched a bunch of small children put on a veteran's day celebration in a small town in south Texas today. I was stunned. It was awesome. At the end, the little ones in their costumes stood and saluted the aging veterans, the retired ones, the currently serving ones all in attendance, and read a prayer for those who lost thier lives on our behalf. The veterans stood and saluted them in return. There wasn't a dry eye in the place. Yes, God bless them all.

wow, so troubling. I posted this so early this morning. The kids who have died deserve more than this. Folks might be against the current confilict, and the one in Viet Nam, but to not honor those who sacrificed their lives, or those who were willing to, is beyond me. Those soldiers are separate than the government that so many want to bash. A tribute to those who have fallen, and those who are fighting now seems like such a small thing. To honor the vets is not an endoresement of the government which so many of you loath. Get over it.
