Hello, My name is Argelia and I live in the U.S. I have a sister who I have not seen since 1982, her name is Armida Rodriguez, but she would call herself Beatriz. We are both from El Salvador and we both moved to belize in 1980. I then moved to Mexico in 1982 and she stayed in Belize, we kept in touch for a little while but then I never heard of her again. While we kept in touch she told me she had gotten married to a man from Guatemala and had 3 kids (but that was more than 20 yrs. ago) after that I never heard of her again. My parents are living in El Salvador and are very old, they are also very sick and thinking that they might die without ever seeing her again. If anyone has ever heard of her or heard her name please let me know. I would greatly apreciate it. You can E-mail me at
Thank you.

Would Rodriguez be her married or maiden name?

And what would the alternate surname be?

Rodriguez would be her maiden name, She never told me what her married name was.
In Belize she would call herself Beatriz because she did not like her real name.

Suggest that you place an ad in the local newspapers, explaining who you are and who you want to find.
The ones most likely to be read by "everybody" -
Belize Times

You can also put an announcement on the radio - Love FM, Estereo Amor, etc.
Ask her to contact you, offering to accept a collect phone call.
