My wife and I came to San Pedro in October, had a fantastic time. We want to return and tour the mainland in April. What suggestions does anyone have on a reliable car rental that will take us anywhere we want to go, but not all the money we have for vacation?

I see that Hertz and Budget rent out of the airport area for about $1000 for two weeks. Is that the best I can do?
