Chipper and Polly, I could be wrong about this but you might want to try and contact the Lion's Club on AC. From what I have read they do a lot of good work... We're going down in March and had thought about doing the same thing as you but were not certain what to do with it when we got there. The Lion's Club is mentioned on this site. Maybe there is a contact email...anyone know??? Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I saw both of your posts and no reply. Good luck with it..

Hi, I live here in San Pedro and some friends of mine sent boxes of toys for Christmas for the kids of town...took us two weeks to get through customs and they wanted a mint for duty!!! I highly recommend going through the Lions Club of San Pedro, they have government connections and can get duty-free into country and also distribute them for you. There are a lot of underprivileged children here and they would love the toys, clothes, school supplies, etc.
Can't find my plane...
