:p I would like to know more about the hummingbird highway. Is a trip that could be done in a day, and can you take a water taxi from dangriga to AC? How much time would this take?

You can rent a car in Belize City and see most of the highlights of the Hummingbird Highway on a day trip. It's about an hour to Belmopan where the Hummingbird starts, and maybe an hour and a half from there to Dangriga if you don't stop along the way.

You could also take a bus but you wouldn't be able to easily get on and off to see the sights.

There are no water taxis to San Pedro from Dangriga.

Just returned from Placincia by way of the Hummingbird.. Its in great shape. Dont be temped to make the round trip by way of the Coastal "Highway" tho..It is seriously rough and dusty.. Took almost 2 hours in our little "toy jeep" we rented..A good day trip would be to catch the Zoo, have lunch at BC's and make the round trip to Dangriga..We used Louis Rentals in BZ City.. about 70.00us What a great drive!
