I was accused of being insulting on the "About Ambergris Caye" forum and informed the comments were more suited to this forum. So I wanted to explain how I view insulting as opposed to poking fun or light hearted humor and that I might possibly owe Jesse an apology.
I will use the example of two track athletes. One says to his peer, "you couldn't catch me if your life depended on it." Now if those same words were said to someone who was handicapped, crippled or in a wheel chair, they would be considered degrading and insulting.
If you notice, I replied to Jesse's comment about board members coming to Belize to meet other board members by saying that Reef Ransom might have formed that opinion because he talked with Jesse and me. Poking fun and putting Jesse and me in the same category. When Jesse singled out my post about Fleming as not pertaining to Ambergris Caye or Belize, I poked fun back by inferring it might have gone over his head. He took that as being insulting.
Now if Jesse is correcting me and letting me know that I might have over estimated his intelligence or is letting us know he is intellectually handicapped, then I definitely owe him an apology. Other wise, I was just using some light hearted humor amongst peers.
