My husband and I are considering a trip to Belize on our next vacation. We're looking for a place that doesn't have a Walmart, McDonald's, etc. Does Belize have any of these stores or fast food restaurants?

Not a single one of those on Ambergris Caye. Don't know about the mainland. The "fast food" on the island is from the local park vendors and it is yummy.

We were told the only fast food chain Belize has allowed in is Subway.

Subway should try marketing their vittles as just a little slower than fast-food, to appeal to those who are not in a hurry....
