How far is Dangriga from Jaguar Reef Lodge? Or the better question, can it be done easily by bicycle?

I've only done Dangriga to Hopkins by car and from what I recall it was about 1/2 an hour. It would be a long and somewhat dangerous ride (high speed traffic on the main roads).

Taxi is $40.00US....ask for James smile from Dangriga.

Or....is Jaguar Reef coming to the airport to get you? They should...or they should make an arrangement to get you there. (assuming you are flying)

Biking........I sure wouldn't do it. Simon B is right. It's at least 30-40 mins. by car but they have revamped the road, sooooo possibly a better ride anyway laugh
There weren't too many cars on the road the last time we were in that area. Depends on the time of year, time of day....it's just a nice 2 lane highway/road smile

Trying to decide between Hopkins Village and Dangriga now. Hubby being a United Methodist Pastor, thought it would be neat to attend a service at a UMC while in Belize, would like to form a fellowship with a church there, and our home church. Did searches in Google, and the only ones I can find are in Northern Belize. Thought for sure there was one in Dangriga.

sighhhh .... and I thought I had the last few days of our trip planned. confused

I've been to both and would recommend Hopkins over Dangriga and would highly recommend Jaguar Reef Lodge (based on a 3 year old experience.)

Did you happen to see that lead on the Belize Forums for a church in Dangriga?

If you don't need to be on the water you could go someplace like http://www.mamanoots.com/

I have been there for a visit by car. Looks good. We just have always prefered being on the water.
They may guide you in the direction you are looking confused
It's still not a biking distance to Dangriga though.
The road down to Mama Noots is a long dirt road off from the main road.
There are many options.
Water side try Tipple Tree Baya, Three Sisters, Hopkins Inn. None of which we go since we want a different type of vaca. More on the upper level of cost. I have not even seen the above mentioned but I am sure many folks will jump in that may have. More likely to get those results in the Belize Forum in a search smile
Whatever you decide.. ENJOY laugh

Oh, another thought. If you don't necessarily need to be in Stann Creek District, go to Corozol. Look at http://www.belizenorth.com/table_of_contents.htm

Ric is extremely helpful if you just send off an email to him. He will be able to guide you to a church.
He's a preacher in Corozal. Plus plays in a great band too smile
