Thinking about a family trip--children range in age from 12-17 and 17 year old son and father scuba dive. My son and I have been diving at Ambergris many times but the rest of the family would want more to do. Any thoughts on how to spend ten days or so in the country doing various things?

Do the Actun Tunichil Muknal cave hike. It was awesome and as long as your younger children are in good shape and aren't afraid of the water, it will be a wonderful trip for them.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Reef fishing, a trip to the Belize zoo, a manatee trip, cave tubeing, when you arrive you will find quite a few different outlets and they are all easy to book. smile

Reality..What a concept!

We took our 17 and 20 year olds this June for 14 days. We all SCUBA...so that was our main focus on San Pedro (left the 8 year old home with Grandma). Also enjoyed fishing off San Pedro. We spent 4 days on mainland and wish we'd had 2 more nights at Chaa Creek. It was really fun doing the night hikes, day hikes, spa visit, Tikal, canoeing etc. Would have like to gone cave tubing but not enough time...so much to do! Have a terrific trip!

Dont forget a day trip to Caye Caulker. You can rent bikes and tour the island. Can also spend a few hours at the split snorkeling, fishing, relaxing and there are many great food spots.
