What is the name of that very aggressive jungle snake? Tour de lance Armstrong?
I'm planning on riding a bike to El Salvador and want to scare my friends with tails of certain doom.

Also called Barba Armarilla or the Yellow Jawed Tommygoff in Belize. Never seen one and don't ever want to. Can be big mo' fo's from what I hear and that they are particulary nasty bastards. Basically from the same family of snakes as rattlesnakes. Croatlids is the genus or species. Pardon me but I forget the whole high school biology thing with names.

There is a strong rum bottled in Belize called viper rum that is bottled at Maruba Lodge I believe and they basically embalm a small fer de lance in what equates to overproof rum. Do a search on the board and you'll find more info on the rum.

What kind of bike riding El Salvador? Sounds fun. Have you any good links?

Thanks for all the good help. It always amazes me the high quality of the collative knolage on the net. The rum sounds interesting, donít support killing a snake for a shot of booze though. Kill the snakes, live with the rats.
As for riding to El Salvador, doesnít look like a big deal, stay off the roads during the weekends. Donít take anything you canít loose. Ride a cheep local bike.

"What's the snake's name?" Thought you were talking about a certain someone I knew once upon a time. Alas, I see you are talking about an actual snake.
