Cuba’s new Ambassador to Belize, Eugenio Martinez Enriquez, has presented his credentials to Governor General, Sir Colville Young in Belmopan. The Cuban Ambassador expressed his intention to further strengthen the friendship between Belize and Cuba. He pointed out that Cuba and Belize share a lot in common. Ambassador Martinez also recalled that Cuba was the first Latin American country to support Belize’s independence. The new Cuban Ambassador has also paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister, Said Musa, and on Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Emergency Management Organization, Godfrey Smith. Meanwhile, British High Commissioner, David Allan Jones has also paid a courtesy call on the Governor General and Prime Minister Musa.
