Signature Vacations will be offering a non-stop out of Pearson on Thursdays starting in December 2006. I just booked for January 2007 through Holiday Outlet for a mere $833CAD all taxes in. Flights depart YYZ at 6:15am and arrive BZE at 9:20am local time. I am treating this as a bonus vacation day so it's worth the few extra bucks

Whooo! But $833 seems a little steep, doesn't it??
I will have a Belikin -- put it on klcman's tab.

YYZ has some of the highest airport fees in the world...sometimes in excess of $100 per ticket regardless of which airline you fly.

That's only $750US. On the other hand, it's 20,000 rubles. What price paradise?
Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt

Dear Hon, I love you!!! I just booked us for 11 days in Jan-Feb '07 and thought I did well by finding (but not yet booking) flights that left at 6 am from Halifax to Toronto to Houston and arriving at 5pm -ish in B. City. I was happy about not staying overnight in Houston. Now if I can find an early Halifax-Pearson flight to catch the 6:15 am from TO, life will be perfect. Thank you!

novascotianuts: You could try getting a late CanJet or WestJet flight out of Halifax. They fly into terminal 3 at Pearson, where the new Sheraton has been built so you could grab a room to rest up for your extra vacation day...and it really would be an extra day for you given your proposed itinerary klcman: Yep. Skyservice. You thinking about driving to TO? What's that, about 6 hours for you?

nah, not thinking of that at all, just curious. (and it be one helluva lot longer than 6 hour drive - it's over 700 miles) And, anytime it takes me longer to get TO an aiport than it does to fly to the destination, there definitely be something wrong!

Hon: Sounds great! Nothing to do Wednesday night but long for Thursday - might as well do it in Toronto. Thanks again.
