On a PC. Yes, I went to apple I pod's website...but I am having trouble at the second step. It says "With your iPod connected, select your iPod in the iTunes source list and then click the iPod Options button."

There is not option on the source list to select my ipod or which type I have. I have itunes loaded and see a source box, but nada...

LOL Krazk...I gave up. I have promised myself that I will download pics to my nano, but have to have a time when I will not be interupted. Apple has the most evasive instructions ever. It took me thirty minutes to figure out how to reset my nano, and that was with their tech help....ugh....makes my camera phone much more user friendly....just point and shoot! If you want, I will scan the instructions and shoot them off to you, but again, not very easy to follow. Let me know if you need them.

Don't suppose anyone knows the trick to make sure it's really turned off and not just "sleeping" (where it still seems to suck the life out of the battery even though you're not listening to anything)? Sometimes when I think it's off, it really is (I see the apple logo come on the screen like it's powering up) but other times.... that battery with it's "14 hour" life seems to last me only a few days of 2-3 hours use per day, max. confused

The "real" off switch on a Nano is at the left of the very top. Turn the Nano off by depressing and holding the the bottom center of the wheel, then move the switch at the very top to the right to lock the Nano into the off position.
KZK - if you still haven't figured out how to download pm me and I'll walk you through it.

Hey, not too long ago a CD Walkman was a big confusion to me. That was when I upgraded from my tape Walkman. An Ipod, hunh? They look cute and you don't have to carry all those CD's with ya, but hmmm . . complicated. If someone like KzK is having trouble with it, I'm sure I'll need a young person or lawcucui to hang with me 95% of the time just to figure it out.

That said, I was talking with a guy the other night that had books loaded on his. That sounded magnificent to me. I like to drive with story tapes playing but when I bought my last car, it only has a CD player, so books on tape didn't work anymore.
