was quite an experience returning from Panama, through Miami, but am sure it will vary, depending on where you are traveling or returning from. Expect delays, as it was chaos. I heard Thursday was the worst. Fortunately for me, I made it through Miami Customs before their entire system went down, causing lots of flight delays. I had a long layover so no worries.
I had not heard of the security situation, along with many other people, so lots of folks were digging through their baggage and moving items from carry on to checked luggage. Arrived home with rum and beer intact. LOL. Just pack the banned items in checked luggage and go light with carry ons.
Passengers were requested to present passports amd boarding passes at many unexpected stops, so keep your documents handy.
Bring patience and have a great time!

And so? How was Panama? Do I keep it as one of the tops on my list?
A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Back from Toronto on Friday. Left mid-afternoon, but altho the lines through security were short, they were slow. Apparently due to all of the people who either could not read, or didn't know what the numerous signs meant. Some people were claiming that their liquids and lotions and gels (oh my) were "exempt" and were willing to argue the point.
Been there, done that, the washing machine ate the T-shirt
