Coming down to Belize for the 1st time and we're looking to stay at Capt Morgan's for our Honeymoon. Any feedback on how the resort is?

never been to CM, i know it is older than some places, and north of the town. when i stayed north, i stayed at journey's end, and the beaches are lovely, but didnt care for it much. next year i am honeymooning at xanadu, which is newer and south of town. folks tell me it's great.

i personally like the south end better, but everyone has their own opinion. either way, if you come with no expectations and an open mind, you will love belize!

Have hung out at the bar at Cpt. Morgan's. Assaulted only once by the time share rep - I'm pretty sure once was all he was willing to risk, so he scores points for learning from his mistkes. Accommodations look nice and the pool is very pretty. That said, it's way too far away from anything to do for my tastes. The cost of getting back and forth to town (in time and $) would make it completely not worth it for me.

Had lunch there - didn't write home about it.
