Greetings, All.

We'll be in Belize the week before Easter, and may water-taxi over to Caye Caulker to snorkel on Good Friday. We're thinking that most restaurants will probably be closed since it's a religious holiday for most residents. Does anyone know which ones are open that day? Also, do the taxis have a "holiday schedule" like mass transit in NYC?

The water taxi will run the regular schedule. Many restaurants are closed on Good Friday and through Easter Monday holiday. I believe the Sandbox, Rainbow Grill, Tropical Paradise, and Barrier Reef Sports Grill. We (Caribbean Colors Art Gallery and Coco Loco Cafe) are closed that weekend, its the only holiday weekend that we close during the entire year.

Those restaurants will probably be open.

For us, by that time in the season, we've been open 7 days a week since November, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. most days, and we're tired. We hide at home.
