i have a machete that looks like a japanese sword, i dont want it taken away. does anyone know where i can get a list of does and don'ts for moving to belize?

With heightened security, you won't have to worry about getting it into Belize...you won't even get in ON the plane.

I think he meant is it permissible to box it up with his belongings being shipped to belize, he is moving there. I least that's what I hope he meant, or I am off the plane right behind ya, Klc! wink

Actually, if it is a ceremonial Japanese sword, it would look nothing like a machete and be even less value in trying to hack through that tough Belezian foliage....leave it at home where it will be safe and sound ( and so will we wink )

Sean,
If you are 'moving' by plane, call and ask if you can have it packaged and in your checked luggage.

If it means that much to you, go the route that is best, ask the airline or store it in the states until you are sure of this move.

sorry i forgot to mention that i'm driving down. i bought myself a little 82 toyota deisel. how about a list of do and do not items. cheers!
