Help, we are arriving the week on March 10th and still have not found a place to live. I have emailed almost every complex I could find under accomoadation but they are all short term rentals.

We are looking for a house or condo for 1-2 months that is suitable for a family with children 1 & 4 and that will allow a well behaved 10year old family dog. We plan to remain on the island for 6-12 months so if we like the place we might take it even longer. But for now we need to know we have a place to stay when we land.

We would be interested in a large one bedroom or a two bedroom.

Any help would be appreicated. I can't imagine landing with 2 kids & a dog during high season and trying to find a place. eek

Try Caye Management. I think Mary has some lower end rentals that are available for long term.

You might also try our manager, Nellie Gomez. We can't afford to put 2 bedroom condo on the long term market (and they are booked up most of March anyway) but she manages for several other Paradise Villas owners and it may be that someone is willing to rent it long term for something you can afford. Also, she knows everybody in town and maybe she knows of a rental not catering to the tourist market that is available. It's worth a try: [email protected]

Thank you, I emailed both but Caye Management said that I should try B-leases so I've emailed them as well, no response so far. I've also emailed Nellie, Hopefull she'll have something. Guess we should have planned to come at a better time of the year

have you checked in the San Pedro Sun advertisements, or placed an advertisement there?

Maybe your family in Caye Caulker would be able to check into this for you? Or email the Jamison's at San Pedro Sun - [email protected], and see what they suggest. They might be able to place that ad for you. Wish I could help more, good luck.
