I am coming into Belize this trip with two large bags of household goods for my house which is presently under construction (yes Peter, we owe you a case of beer!).
Am I better off leaving pricetags on these items and preparing a list for the customs officials, or detagging and leaving it up to them (with back up receipts if needed)? All items were purchased at discount prices (I am a bargain shopper).
I am not trying to cheat anyone, just want to make it through customs smoothly and without any problems. I didn't know if two big bags of "items to declare" would present any difficulties.
Any advice gratefully accepted .

Play by the rules. Gather all the receipts and make a list.
