Sorry, when I accessed the link, it did not require registration, but I see that the posted link is asking you to register. Essentially, the story updates the court case as follows:
"A Miami federal judge repeated her contempt- of-court ruling against the government of Belize. The Central American nation's telecommunications company hangs in the balance."

1.6 US mil and counting and the fine will NOT be purged as the US lawyers for GOB originally contended. Make the check payable to whom?

Who actually gets the fine money? The courts or the plaintiff?

Contractual law, actually. A far cry from fundraising.

Not having the documents in front of me, I think I can still safely assume that the contracts specify that any legal challenges to the agreement(s) are to be heard by the court in Miami. I'd also assume that someone with the authority to do so (from the GOB) signed the documents agreeing to such.

The process of law, quite simply. A contract's a contract.
