I was talking with Mr. Creasy from Tree Tops, and she said that the hurricane added 9 feet more to their beach. So much for the rumour you heard, its was not true. The person telling it obviously hasn't been here. I was on Caye Caulker in December and the palms are about 1/3 grown back with fronds. I'll be returning in a couple of weeks and I expect to see more new growth. Its was good to see them coming back to life so quickly. The mangroves on the back side of the island looked about 1/2 way back to normal. It was a pleasant surprise because I was there 3 weeks after the hurricane, and it was sad. I agree with the other posting, the beaches look great, never better, 1000% better shape than when I came in January, when the only place to swim was at the split.
