Hello! I'll be spending two weeks in CC (2/21 - 3/5) and am wondering if kayacks, or any small boats, are available for rent. Also, are fishing licenses required? If so, where can I buy one? For that mater, is it possible for me to fish the flats on my own? I do plan to hire a guide at least once though.
Hey, if any of you who read this meet me, tell me that you saw this e-mail. (Me: 6' 210lbs, buzzed hair cut and goatee. And if I look pissed off, I'm not - I'm just trying to give up tobacco on this trip!)
Hope to meet you all soon.

I understand the pissed off feeling, I quit smoking about 5 weeks ago and I'm still feinding for them.

To answer the kayak rental question, the answer is yes, you can rent kayaks by the day ($40 bz), half day or hour. Yes, I've seen tourists fishing on the flats, but I don't know if you need a fishing license. I'll ask around and post the answer.
