Belize has only one winery, its called Rendevous Estates, which offers a chardonnay. In our grocery store here on Caye Caulker, you'll find the inexpensive California wines (like Gallo), some from Chile, a little bit of German, and all of them 3x more expensive than what you're used to paying. A couple of restaurants serve wine. Cocoplum Gardens Restaurant and Nursery, on the road to the airstrip, serves a wonderful Chilean Chardonnay (was a big suprise for me!) Its quiet-out-of-town location, organic food and 4 candelite tables is a romantic spot. They are the only place that serves expresso and cappuccino at night. Wine is about 9-10bz a glass. Also, Habaneros Restaurant serves wine and has a wonderful veggie lasagna with fresh-made pasta and their Brazilian Pork is incredible. They are located right off the main water taxi dock in Caye Calker Village. Both restaurants recommend reservations due to limited seating.
