I just wanted to wish the family of the late Ms. Betty Weir, deepest sympathy. She was the Mother of our past Ms. Caye Caulker 1994, Lizette Alamina and Natalie Alamina. She was also the common law wife of Norman "Spin" Alamina (Father of Liz and Nats). Many people on Caye Caulker knew her and so it is with deepest regret that we share her passing. It is so unfortunate that this has happened but God provides for all of us.

She is survived by 1 son: Mario Alonzo
3 daughters: Dora Alonzo, Lizette Gutierrez nee Alamina and Natalie Alamina
4 Granddaughters: Giuliani Hoil, Monserrat Andrade, Alexia and Gabrielle Gutierrez

2 Sisters: Eloisa Weir & Natalia Tewes nee Chavez

4 Brothers: Gonzalo Chavez, Rafael Chavez, Mike Weir and Karl Weir Jr.

She was put to rest on September 7, 2004 at the St. Joseph's Parish and then buried at Lord Ridge Cemetery.

May her soul rest in peace!

I am so sorry to hear about this....I knew her very much on a personal level and she was always a very kind-hearted person and a loving Mother. She had all the greatest qualities a person can have My sympathies to Lizette and Natalee for such a heartbreaking loss. I totally symapthize with them. Oh well, it is so sad to see people go just like that

Oh my!! I am sorry to hear about it, when I received the news from her daughter, it was heartbreaking for me as she was my relative. Here's wishing strength and fortitude to the family of our dearest Betty.
