Hi everyone!
I am planning my FIRST trip to Belize (Caye Caulker) in January. I am wondering what the BUG situation is. Should I look for accommodations with mosquito nets for sleeping? (I was in Tulum, Mexico recently and mosquito nets were a MUST). Also, I know of a friend who was the unfortunate victim of bot fly larvae while visiting Belize. Is this common? Can things like Skin-So-Soft prevent this??? I need advice!

Erica; Bugs are not a big problem. Rooms generally don't have or need nets. SSS is good for soft skin. Belize's mainland requires 100% DEET. Come enjoy Caye Caulker.
