Where does one buy takeout beer and wine on the Island? What is the availability of decent wines?

There are a couple convenience stores on the island that have beer by the bottle. You can no longer drink beer in the street.(unless you don't get caught) You can also buy beer by the case at the distibution center next to the back dock. The only problem is finding a cooler to keep it cold. For the right price one of the locals will rent you a cooler. You just have to ask around.

I can't remember seeing much wine for sale in the stores. Some of the resurants do have some but not sure the quality. When you are on the island Belikin and One Barrel do the trick...

At my restaurant we serve Chilean Wines..Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay... I live in Sonoma County for years and this is a very nice house wine..you can bring wine with you though...
at least a bottle of Champagne for New Years. Chan's grocery store on the island also sells wine by the bottle.. Cheers..Maralyn
