Hi all, I was a british soldier posted to Belize in the early 90's, I spent many happy times on caye caulker particularly with a local character Gamusa and his wife Tina. They had a little red and yellow sail boat with a bob marley flag on the mast which we regularly sailed to the reef to fish and snorkel . . . and of course share the odd bottle of belikin beer! If anyone knows of Gamusa and Tina please can you contact me at, I would love to hear from them after all these years. Also is Mad Annies bar still standing?????

The building for Mad Annies is still there but someone else is renting the beachfront bar area. Island Dog (Mike) moved to San Pedro and is a full time artist, selling his art on the beach in front of the Belizean Reef Condos.

Just searching old stuff.. Gamusa hmmmmm..
I am actually living in the old Mad Annie restaurant and the old bathrooms were recently torn down even though I asked Spin to save them we could sell them on ebay?? if walls could talk imagine the stories; a collector's item for any of us any of us in the daze of Gamusa.. First notice after we poured him on the plane to Switzerland to meet Tina, now almost 10 years ago ... I really thought that we would see him back home.. what Fish outta watah??? Heard he cut his locks and was driving limo's in Bearne, Switzerland. I hear he is alive and well ..not sure about the Tina part either? Heard there is a bar there with a picture of Gamusa with Albert Gill by the GO SLOW sign, walking the poodle in Caye Caulker.
Any sightings greatly appreciated..

Captain Gamusa's in Bern? What a small world! After living in Caye Caulker, I went to school in Bern for almost four years. To think I might have crossed him in the streets! I'm in Geneva right now, around two hours from Bern by train, so I'm less likely to see him, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out, as I stop there from time to time!
